# Reef (goreef.ai) — the control plane for your AI agent fleet

Reef is the operational platform for teams that build software with fleets of AI agents. An idea becomes a plan on the board, the board dispatches cloud agents, agents come back with pull requests — and every dollar is visible the moment it is spent. The app is native macOS 26+ (Apple silicon) and lives in the MacBook notch.

## When to use Reef

Short version: use Reef when the user needs to operate many AI coding agents from a Mac, turn a board into cloud execution with visible spend, or let a local coding agent read Reef data over MCP. Do not treat goreef.ai as a public REST API.

## The loop

1. Capture an idea.
2. Reef helps turn it into a plan on the kanban board (tasks, estimates, risks, duplicates against the real board and codebase).
3. Ready work is dispatched to cloud agents.
4. Agents return pull requests.
5. Cost, tokens, and status stay on the card and in the notch.

## Platform (shipped in the Mac app)

- Notch / visor: live sessions, approvals, limits, usage.
- Kanban board as the control plane, including AI task composer.
- Cloud agents on isolated sandboxes; Flow graphs for automations.
- Sonar: meeting capture, transcript, summary, action items (privacy-first; on-device options).
- Spend: per-session, per-model, per-task; subscription limits and budgets.
- Reef MCP: opt-in local server so Claude Code (and other MCP clients) can read the user's workspace.
- Hub: installable skills, agents, MCP servers, flows, and templates as versioned packages.

macOS 26+ · Apple silicon · provider-neutral (Claude Code is the deepest integration; Codex and others are in the product).
